Ibrahim Shahda, who after settling in France lived mainly in the South, is present in a new exhibition dedicated to his work, this time in Montpellier.
As last year’s exhibition in Aix-en-Provence, the exhibition covers the different genres he excelled at, and one can enjoy and compare his approach in each genre.
The precision and calm of the still lifes, flowers or fruit, the violence of the landscapes of Provence, scorched by the sun and swept by the mistral, and the distorted faces and bodies of (self) portraits..
