Exhibition Chagall, between war and peace, Musée du Luxembourg

Marc Chagall, who died a few months short of his 98th birthday, lived one of the most troubles times and witnessed the horrors of the 2 World Wars.

The Luxembourg museum is hosting an exhibition of works in relation with war and peace.

The first rooms display rarely seen works when Chagall was not yet Chagall, with some very beautiful paintings and some drawings which differ in style.

Exhibition Alabaster Tears, Musée de Cluny

The Cluny Museum is showing a small but intriguing and beautifully displayed exhibition of the Mourners of the Tomb of John the Fearless, Duke of Burgundy.

It gives the unique opportunity to see in detail the 39 figures forming the procession of the dead prince in a scenography highlighting the dramatic intensity and the subtlety of each sculpture.
